The Beauty of the East#1
Four beaches of Tai Long are located at the far eastern part of Sai Kung Peninsula. It represents exquisiteness and tranquility of the countryside. Immediately after the Mid-term examination, we caught the chance to visit these beaches, together with our nice teacher, Miss Szeto.
We have visited 3 beaches out of the four. They are Tai Wan (top left), Ham Tin Wan (top right) and Sai Wan (bottom).
Look at the weather conditions of that day.
Date: 21st January 2001
Weather conditions: cloudy with some sunshine; stronger winds offshore
Maximum air temperature: 20.1 C
Minimum air temperature: 18.2 C
Relative humidity: 79 - 90%
Rainfall: 0 mm
So, we just set off under this condition. We planned to climb up to Sharp Peak (see map), which is the highest peak in Sai Kung Peninsula. However, the plan doomed to failure because of the windy weather. Thus, we visited the beaches instead. Are you ready to go?
