Then, we walked down to the bridge, linking up the headland with the island.  This was the feature, tombolo.  The sediments on the SE coast were mainly bulky boulders while on the NW coast, we could find smaller pebbles and rock fragments.  Due to longshore drift on both sides of the coast, deposition occurred and the tombolo was formed.

We quickly took a picture on the bridge.

Along the way uphill, we discovered a boulder with a large crack.  The rock was disintegrated physically by the process of block disintegration.  Benny Woo quickly went into the cracks to check how rocks were widened.

Jeff Choy also discovered another example of block disintegration.  It resembled a loaf of bread.  Kathy immediately would like to try the bread as she was extremely exhausted after the long walk.

Simon Tsang and Kenny paid a salute to those 5Dees as they tried their best to walk uphill under the hot sun.  We nearly got sunburn!
