SIMON TSANG + VICKI LO

DATE/TIME OF VISIT: 17:00, 14/6/2001

WORK AT: TEMPORARY SHOE SHOP

LOCATION: AT THE JUNCTION OF MONGKOK ROAD AND TUNG CHOI STREET, MONGKOK (MONGKOK MTR STATION, EXIT B2)

POSITION: SALESPERSON

WAGE PER MONTH: $25/HOUR (USUALLY 6-10 HOURS A DAY)

GOODS SOLD: WOMEN'S SHOES

GENERAL COMMENTS: BUSY, BUSY AND BUSY!  WORKING IN SUCH A BUSY SHOP IS REALLY DEMANDING AND EVEN "KILLING"!  BUT CLEARLY SIMON WAS SURROUNDED BY NUMEROUS MIDDLE-AGED WOMEN.

Simon was quite happy to see us coming to visit him.  At the same time, Vicki Lo was busy at work, entertaining a lot of middle-aged women.  They elbowed against the crowd to get the chance to try the shoes.  Simon spoke in a very humorous way and he was totally attracted by the ladies in Mongkok.  Although those ladies were "scolded" and teased by Simon, they were still willing to buy the shoes.  Do you know why?  The shoes are really CHEAP!!!!  Only $68 a pair!  It's really incredible.

Simon kept on shouting and so as Vicki.  She was speaking in a microphone and urged all the "kai fong" to buy the shoes.

These 3 pictures were taken in the second visit (20/6/2001) at the shop.  We talked with some other salespersons at the shop.  All of them were graduates of S5/S7 students.  They're so nice to allow us to chat with Simon and Vicki for a while.  Not in a minute, they were so busy that I couldn't talk to them for long.
