Sports Day (Part II)

Date: 20th October 2000

Venue: Siu Sai Wan Stadium & 5D Classroom

Weather: Overcast with heavy rain

Rainy days never say goodbye!  My phone had been ringing without stop since 6 o'clock that morning.   Everybody asked the same question, "Should we go to the Stadium despite the heavy rain?"  The answer was, "Sure, why not?"  Then, all teachers and students rushed to the Stadium.  Reaching there, the whole body was soaked with water.  We expected nothing could be done at the Stadium, but why didn't we cancel the Sports Day and return to school?

After taking the roll-call, our headmaster thought of a contingency plan.  We had to stay at the Stadium and wait for the school buses.  Everybody moved back to school and waited for further instructions.  The cheerleaders of all Houses seemed to be impatient.  Some of them cried out, claiming that they had practised the cheers for a long time.  It would be very disappointing to have no chance to show off their cheer dance!  As a result, all cheerleaders came down from the House Stand and declared a war!  They shouted and screamed.  The House members followed and gave them whole-hearted support!  The scene was very touching and the spirit was running high!!!!

Not only students, but also teachers like Mr. Wong, Mr. Au, Miss Ngan, Miss Szeto, Miss Yung and Miss W. Wong showed their support by clapping their hands.   Miss Wong also led the Green House to sing the House song.  Fun never stopped after that.
